We aim to make our pricing to be as clear and transparent as possible.

A list of our current charges for consultations with our doctors and nurse specialists, prescriptions and tests is set out on this page. Details of pricing for the holistic wellness practitioners offering appointments at Black Barn can be found on our Wellbeing Partner pages. You can also find details of some payment options further down the page.

  • As a new patient, you will see a doctor at your first consultation and again after 12 weeks at your follow-up consultation.

    New Patient Consultation - £300

    Up to 60 minutes, face-to-face or video, doctor led. Includes a post consultation letter, your first private prescription for 3 months (excludes the cost of HRT) and email queries*

    Follow up Consultations - £195

    30 minutes, face-to-face or video with the same doctor as your initial consultation.

    Includes a post consultation letter and email queries*

    *We are happy to answer simple queries by email but if we feel the enquiry is complex we will ask you to book in for another follow up consultation.

    Additional Letters

    With your consent, we can share your post consultation letters with your doctor or anyone else you want us to. 

    If, outside of a consultation you require your doctor to write an additional letter, we will charge £50 to cover the doctor's / admin time.

    Annual HRT Prescription Charge £35*

    Your first and second prescriptions are included in the cost of the New Patient Consultation and your first Follow Up Consultation. Thereafter, the cost of producing your annual prescription for HRT is charged at £35. The prescription charge covers the costs of the time required from a doctor to prepare the script (which is a legal document), and the administrative staff time to fulfil it.

    *This does not include the cost of the HRT itself. If you require a new prescription for something other than HRT, you may be charged an additional £35 prescription charge.

    Blood tests

    Blood tests are rarely required at your first consultation as a diagnosis is made on symptoms. They may be required after your follow-up consultation to check for effective absorption and for testosterone monitoring. They will be charged in addition to your consultation. We only offer blood testing to patients who are under the care of our doctors. Your doctor will advise which blood tests you require. Blood test & phlebotomy prices can be found below.

  • We offer this service at a fixed price of £250 paid every four weeks, which is collected by direct debit. This includes:

    • your initial consultation and follow ups with your doctor

    • Prescriptions, medication & delivery charges

    As your treatment progresses, if you need an increased dose, the price will rise incrementally as below:

    Mounjaro

    2.5 and 5.0 mg - £250 / 4-weekly

    7.5mg - 10.0mg - £270 / 4-weekly

    12.5mg - 15mg - £290 / 4-weekly

    (1:1 support given by our partner practitioners is not included in this price)

  • Contraception Consultations

    A 45 minute consultation with our contraception specialist, which covers contraception, sexual health and medical history, with plenty of time to discuss the options and prescribe if required. Consultations are available in person or online.

    Young Person’s Contraception Consultation

    As above - geared to younger women who may be discussing their contraception options for the first time.

  • Contraceptive Implant Fitting & Removal

    Coil Fitting & Removal

  • Appointments with our Dr Leah Deutsch, our consultant obstetrician, last for 1 hour are very much led by your requirements, but include a comprehensive physical review, a discussion around your pregnancy, birth, and if relevant, how your emotional recovery is progressing.

  • A Cervical Screening appointment lasts 30 minutes to allow time for questions, the test itself, and for you to recover afterwards.

    Blood Test Information & Prices

    Phlebotomy

    Phlebotomy (taking the blood) is charged separately and costs £35 at Black Barn.

    If you live too far away or this is not convenient, you can use our laboratory, Nationwide Pathology, who have access to over 150 phlebotomy clinics throughout the U.K and can also arrange for a mobile phlebotomist to visit you at home or work. They can be contacted on 01858 571322. Phlebotomy prices range from £35-£95 at a clinic and £40-£80 for mobile. 

    If you have blood hormone tests taken elsewhere, we are happy to look at the results as part of a consultation with a doctor, we are not able to comment outside of this or over email. We are unable to comment on other (non-hormonal) blood tests.

Payment options

At the time of booking your appointment, you can choose to either pay in full, or through a Buy Now, Pay Later agreement with Klarna. 

Pay in full

For new patients, your card details will be taken either over the phone or on our website and full payment will be taken at the time of booking. 

For existing patients, payment will be taken on the day of your follow up appointment using the card details we have on file. If we do not have up to date card details, we will invoice you. 

Buy Now, Pay Later

This is available for all our clinical appointment types excluding weight loss and phlebotomy. It also excludes blood / swab tests and appointments with our wellbeing partners. 

We have teamed up with Klarna to allow you to either pay for the appointment cost in 30 days or split it into 3 interest-free instalments.

We will email you a payment link directing you to the Klarna payment page to pay where you can choose which option suits you best. 

Klarna's Pay in 3 / Pay in 30 days are unregulated credit agreements. Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. 18+, UK residents only. Subject to status. T&Cs and late fees apply.

Gift Vouchers

We offer Gift Vouchers, for any monetary amount, that can be used as partial or full payment towards a New Patient or Follow Up consultation. If you have a friend or family member that you feel would benefit from a consultation, this is a great way to support them.

Just get in touch via phone or email if you’d like to buy a gift voucher - once we’ve taken payment we can send it to you by email, or if you prefer, we can email it directly to the recipient.
