Getting your prescription
How will my prescription be issued, and where can I get it dispensed?
Following your consultation, if your doctor prescribes medication for you, you have the choice of how you would like it to be dispensed.
When we write you a private prescription, we can either give you a signed hard copy (only available for face to face consultations) or we can send it to one of our partner pharmacies.

Ongoing and repeat prescriptions
If at your Follow-up Consultation you are feeling well and your treatment is working, we can continue to prescribe for you via private prescription or we can ask your GP to consider adding your HRT to your NHS repeat prescription. This will be at your GP’s discretion, as they will have legal responsibility for your treatment.
Private Prescriptions
Your first and second prescriptions are included in the cost of the New Patient Consultation and your first Follow Up Consultation. Thereafter, the cost of producing your annual prescription for HRT is charged at £50*
The prescription charge covers the costs of the time required from a doctor to prepare the script (which is a legal document), and the administrative staff time to fulfil it.
*This does not include the cost of the HRT itself. If you require a new prescription for something other than HRT, you may be charged an additional £50 prescription charge.
All ongoing private prescriptions must be ordered through our Repeat Prescriptions page.
As a minimum, to be able to receive continued email support and private prescriptions, you will need to be seen annually for a Follow-up Consultation.
NHS Prescriptions
If your GP is happy to take over prescribing, you may be eligible for free prescriptions.
Most adults have to pay NHS prescription charges and you can either pay per item or sign up to a Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) which saves you money.
